LONDON
AND THE
LOCAL AREA
GUIDE
YOUR LONDON CITY BREAK
So you have made it to London for your city break.
What are you going to do?
London is one of the best Cities in the world with so much to do that you will never get bored. I have lived in London on and off since 1994 and i haven't seen a fraction of what it has to offer.
You have the main attractions like Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, The London Eye, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, the newly opened Battersea Power Station and so, so much more...
Then there are the different areas to visit and just wonder around to enjoy the restaurants, pubs, architecture and shopping. I love Chelsea, Soho, Covent Garden, Camden and Westminster.
If art is your thing then you really are spoilt for choice. Galleries include The Tate Modern and Tate Britain, the refurbished National Portrait Gallery, the National Gallery, Royal Academy of Arts, Hayward Gallery, The Barbican, The Saatchi Galery, The Serpentine, Whitechapel and so many more.
If you like museums then we have the Victoria and Albert, The Science museum, the Natural History Museum, The Museum of London, The British Museum, The Design Museum, The London Transport Museum, The Imperial War Museum etc etc etc..
But as you are staying on a Houseboat on the Thames maybe you would also like the National Maritime Museum, The Cutty Sark, The London Canal Museum, The Golden Hinde, The Historic pubs of Rotherhithe and Wapping, Boat trips, guided Kayaking trips, a Venetian Taxi, a Speed Boat Experience, a floating Hot Tubs and barbecue (yes really...), Thames walks or simply step outside the boat, walk for 5 seconds and jump on the Thames Clipper ferry and explore the river with a day pass.
And as a foodie Chef i have a large selection of restaurants saved on google maps that I want to share with you. These are very eclectic and range from Kebab shops up to Michelin Star restaurants. I haven't been to all of them, it is a wish list more than anything. I have been collecting them for quite a while so if you are somewhere in London and want to know what restaurants are close by, follow this link, share with anyone you know in London. I will keep adding to this list over time.
We are more than happy to help you plan your city break in London, if you want to chat about your own personal itinerary, please just ask.
